Kelly: Hullo?
Me: Hey Kelly? What's up? Can you do me a HUGE favor?
Eric: laughing in the background
Kelly: It depends. I'm about to run out...
Me: I'm in CT right now, Eric's boss gave him a liver...for Keirin, so she can cook it. We accidentally left it in his truck...
Kelly: nervous laugh...expecting some obscure question like that from us Ok....
Me: His truck is open, can you like- go in there, and on the...wait, talk to him. He's the killer around here. hands the phone to Eric
Eric: Hey Kelly! Sorry about this, it's in a blue cooler on the front seat? You know which truck is mine right? Yeah- it's the tan Chevy pickup S-10. Right. Yeah- the cooler is like one of those used for human organ transplants. It's on ice.
Me: Kelly, I am soooo sorry about this! Can you just... go into my room, and clear out whatever is in the freezer and shove it in there. Thanks so much! Oh yeah- bring a plastic bag with you in case it's not wrapped already. If it's not, it could be bloody.
Kelly: still in utter disbelief that I'm asking her to do this... Okay. If I have any trouble, I'll call you.
Me: Totally. Thanks, I love you man. hangs up phone, turns to Eric See? This is why it's good to have friends who are R.A.'s. Nothing is too strange for them.
